Mohali, Sept. 15 -- A 64-year-old hospital nurse carrying gold ornaments, Rs.58,000 cash and some important documents in her handbag was robbed by a motorcycle-borne man while she was walking home for lunch in Kharar on Saturday. Kanta, who works as a staff nurse at Deep Kamal Hospital, told police that there was construction work underway at her house due to which she had been carrying all her valuables to work. On the day of the incident, she was walking home around 1.40 pm when a motorcyclist approached her from the back and snatched her handbag, carrying the valuables and some documents. A case under Section 304(2) (snatching) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered and police are examining the CCTV camera footage on the said stretch....
