Khap leaders threaten protest over delay in arrest of accused
Rohtak, Aug. 13 -- Members of a mahapanchayat, khap leaders, and farmer unions threatened to protest at toll plazas across Haryana on August 14 if the Hisar police fail to arrest all the accused involved in the murder of a dairy operator from Hisar.
The unions demanded justice for the slain dairy operator Jeevan Kundu, who was beaten to death on August 4.
On August 4, 12 to 15 persons allegedly attacked Jeevan in Suryanagar while he was taking cow dung on a motorcycle-trolley around 5.30am. He was beaten unconscious and later succumbed to his injuries in hospital. Police have so far arrested three accused and said that look-out circulars have been issued against the absconders.htc...
