Khalsa College team wins Red Bull Bhangra Brrrawl's Amritsar qualifiers
India, Sept. 3 -- The Red Bull Bhangra Brrrawl's Amritsar qualifiers were held at the IKGPTU Amritsar campus' parking space on Monday, in which the Khalsa College team emerged as the winner and secured a spot in the Red Bull Bhangra Brrrawl national finals.The runner-up is J Spars team, which has bagged the second spot from Amritsar at the national finals.
The Khalsa College team comprised Sumit Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Ajmer Singh, Nimarjeet Singh, Adeshwar Singh and Tejinder Pal. The J Spars team comprised Sukhman Kalsi, Sahil Bedi, Roop Kamal Singh, Jagdish, Parmeet Kaur and Aarishpreet Kaur. The judges for the Amritsar qualifiers were Akanksha Sharma, Kunwar Saheb Singh and Sahaj Singh.
Designed for local dance enthusiasts, Red Bull Bhangra Brrrawl brings the energy of grassroots street performances to a national stage.
The competition began with online qualifiers, where bhangra crews of three to six members, aged 16 and above, submitted original three-minute group performance videos. The shortlisted teams then competed in city-level qualifiers. The first round of the city qualifiers is the quarter-final. The top four teams from the quarter-finals will advance to the second round, and dance on the dhol beats performed by the DJ. The final round will feature the top two teams competing in three rounds of 45 seconds each, with impromptu music selected by the DJ. HTC...
