Karnal, May 26 -- Divers and the district administration recovered the bodies of three men who drowned while bathing in the Yamuna near Lalpura Ghat in Karnal on Ganga Dussehra on Monday. The deceased were identified as Ramesh Kumar, Monty alias Mangatram and Sanju, all residents of Karnal. Officials said the incident occurred when a group of seven men arrived at the ghat to take a holy dip.An eye-witness reported that when Ramesh began drowning in deeper waters, Monty and Sanju stepped in to rescue him, but both were also swept away by the strong currents. htc...
