Karnal, Aug. 13 -- Three of the family were killed and two others were injured after a tractor-trailer overturned in the fields of Kachwa-Bahlolpur road in Karnal on Wednesday, police said. The deceased, Abrar Khan, 28, his brother Khalid, 24, and their uncle Fazru, 55, all were residents of Umarpur village of Shamli district in Uttar Pradesh. The two other injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment. Residents of Kachwa and other villages alleged the bad condition of the road as the reason behind the incident. Relatives of the victims from Shamli village said that the tractor-trailer was empty and was being taken to get it loaded with wheat straw, when it fell into the fields. Investigating officer ASI Karambir Singh said, "The bodies have been sent for post-martem and will be handed over to the family after autopsy." Further investigation is underway, he added. HTC...
