India, Sept. 27 -- A woman who accused American rapperJay-Z of raping her when she was 13 has withdrawn her allegations, saying she had never met or spoken to him. The woman, who has remained anonymous, had accused Jay-Z and fellow rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs of raping her at a party after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. She filed the lawsuit against Combs in 2024, later adding Jay-Z as a defendant. Both rappers denied the allegations. She dropped the case in February 2025. She has now said in a declaration filed in a US court that her allegations against Jay-Z were false. "Shawn'Jay-Z' Carter never raped me. I have never met or spoken to Mr Carter," she said, according to Rolling Stone. She added that there was "no truth" to her claims against him. Jay-Z had sued the woman and her former lawyers after she dropped the case in 2025. He has since removed her from that lawsuit but continues to pursue her former lawyers. The woman's current lawyer said she still believes she was sexually assaultedbut was "entirely mistaken"in identifying Jay-Z.
