Jalandhar BSF HQ blast: UP man, Zirakpur CabBie in Net
Jalandhar, May 15 -- Two key accused, including a Uttar Pradesh resident, have been arrested in connection with the May 5 bomb blast outside the Border Security Force (BSF) Punjab Frontier headquarters in Jalandhar, police said on Thursday.
The accused have been identified as Anil Kumar, a resident of UP currently residing in Amritsar, and Umar Deen, a taxi driver based in Zirakpur, said officials. The arrests followed an intensive multi-state operation launched after investigators traced technical and digital evidence collected from the blast site, they added. Punjab Police and central agency teams were camping in UP for several days.
