Chandigarh, May 26 -- Bhavan Vidyalaya successfully organised its second bookfair on the occasion of the Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) Day held on 23 May 2026. The event was formally inaugurated by Inderpreet Kaur, principal of the school. The Book Fair, conducted on the school premises, was organised in collaboration with Scholastic India. As a prelude to the event, a two-day book browsing session was organised for students of Classes 1 to 11 on May 21 and 22 . The session provided students with an opportunity to explore a diverse collection of books and identify titles aligned with their interests and reading levels. In preparation for the fair, students displayed commendable enthusiasm and initiative by actively promoting the event across the campus through posters and peer interactions, thereby encouraging wider participation within the school community. The Book Fair featured an extensive range of books encompassing fiction, non-fiction, reference materials, educational resources, and children's literature. The primary objective of the initiative was to cultivate reading habits among students, enhance their literary interests, and encourage independent learning beyond the classroom.
