Chandigarh, Oct. 13 -- Income tax authorities on Monday conducted searches at premises linked to the Park Group of Hospitals and its suppliers in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan over suspected tax evasion and alleged financial irregularities and malpractices. Officials said searches were carried out at Park Hospitals in Gurugram, Faridabad, Panipat, Sonepat, Karnal, Ambala and Panchkula. The premises of a medicine supplier in Gurugram and Panipat were also searched during the operation. The investigation pertained to suspected irregularities in claims submitted under government healthcare schemes, including the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS). The allegations include possible inflation of charges for medicines and medical treatment, as well as the submission of claims for hospital admissions, procedures or treatments that may not have actually taken place, officials said....
