India, Aug. 22 -- PATNA: In a minority outreach effort ahead of the assembly polls, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday assured the Muslim community that their grievances, if any, would be resolved immediately, as he listed out his government's steps to support Muslim girls and boys as well as those Muslim women who have been abandoned by their husbands. Speaking at the centenary celebrations event of the Bihar State Madrasa Education Board in Patna, Kumar said the NDA government in the state worked for all sections of the society to ensure benefits for Hindus, Muslims, backward communities, Dalits or Mahadalits. "Minority people will not be allowed to face any problem. If there is any problem, tell us. It will be resolved immediately. We have never discriminated..." Kumar's participation in the event just months before the assembly polls, slated for Oct-Nov this year, assumes significance as it is seen as the JDU chief's efforts to woo the biggest minority community, which forms nearly 18% of the state's population and is traditionally seen as RJD supporters....
