Shimla, May 3 -- A government lecturer in Shimla's Sunni was sentenced to six-year jail by a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences court for molesting a Class 11 student. The incident took place on October 26, 2024, during a school function when no classes were being held and students were gathered on the grounds for celebrations. According to the complaint, the lecturer, Jai Prakash, 46, asked the 15-year-old student to bring his belongings from a kitchen room to his office where he molested her.
