Chandigarh, June 29 -- Former Haryana chief minister and leader of the Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday demanded a transparent probe into the alleged theft of offerings in the Ram temple, saying that those found guilty should face the strictest punishment. Reacting to allegations of a scam involving donations devotees had offered to the Ram temple, Hooda said the issue was deeply concerning as it has hurt the sentiments of millions of people who revere Lord Ram. "These offerings and contributions were made by millions of devotees with a spirit of faith and dedication. Every single rupee contributed by the devotees reflects their unwavering belief in this sacred cause," he said, adding that betraying the trust of devotees is a severe blow to their faith. Hooda said the probe should be conducted without any bias. htc...
