Hisar, July 1 -- Police on Tuesday said that the notorious history-sheeter Mandeep, alias Bhagana, who is facing around 24 cases, has been arrested during a special drive against absconding and habitual criminals. "Bhagana had been evading arrest for nearly one-and-a-half years," Hisar police spokesperson said. The police team, led by ASI Rakesh Kumar, nabbed the accused in the Sector 1-4 area based on secret information. According to the police, Mandeep is accused in over two dozen serious cases including robbery, dacoity, attempt to murder, theft, assault, and violations of the Arms Act. He frequently changed hideouts to avoid capture, they said. According to police officials, the accused will be produced in a court and his remand will be sought for interrogation.
