ROHTAK, Oct. 20 -- Hisar police have seized 633 boxes containing around 5,000 kg of firecrackers, estimated to be worth Rs.3 crore, during a raid on a factory on the Mallapur-Asrawan road and arrested one person in connection with the alleged illegal manufacturing and storage of the firecrackers. The arrested accused has been identified as Kapil, a resident of Hisar, police said on Monday. According to preliminary investigations, the premises were originally used for manufacturing plastic granules. The factory owner allegedly rented them out to the accused for Rs.80,000 a month to manufacture firecrackers. Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided the premises and recovered the firecrackers. A case has been registered at the Adampur police station, and further investigation is underway....
