Hisar: Bus driver held in 40-kg silver theft case
Karnal, March 21 -- Hisar police on Friday arrested a private bus driver from Hisar bus stand for allegedly stealing 40 kg of silver carrying a market value of Rs.65 lakh from a merchant of Mathura.
Assistant superintendent of police (ASP) Mayank Moudgil stated that the bus driver works with a private tour and travels company.
"The businessman, Rajesh Sharma, was going from Mathura to Fatehabad in a private bus, when the driver entangled him in his words and got down from the bus near Hansi toll to hide his bag with the ornaments in the bushes," the police said.
When Sharma could not find the bag, he informed the police. "In a swift action, the cyber cell tracked down the accused at the Hisar bus stand, and recovered the stolen silver," the assistant superintendent of police added....
