Panchkula, April 20 -- Under the esteemed guidance and blessings of Padma Shri awardee Punam Suri, president, DAV College managing committee, New Delhi, Hansraj Public School, Sector-6, Panchkula, celebrated the 162nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Hansraj with immense enthusiasm and devotion on April 17, 2026.
The programme commenced with a sacred havan ceremony, creating an atmosphere of spiritual awakening and positivity. The occasion was graced by the benign presence of pujya swami Dharmadev Parivrajak Ji Maharaj, a revered Arya scholar and spiritual guide, who presided over the ceremony. His enlightening words emphasised the importance of vedic values, discipline, and righteous living in shaping a progressive society.
The celebration witnessed active participation of students in a wide array of competitions designed to nurture their intellectual, creative, and cultural abilities. The events included dev vani (vedic chanting), ved mantra uchcharan, declamation, vedic quiz and others.
