Gurugram police foil gang's hit plan
Gurugram, May 31 -- Two alleged members of the Bhau gang, planning to murder a Bahadurgarh businessman over unpaid extortion money, were apprehended after a shootout with the crime branch near Panchgaon Chowk in Manesar early Saturday. The suspects, aged 24 and 21, Delhi residents, are wanted in at least 25 cases across NCR, including attempted murder, extortion and illegal arms possession.
Both sustained bullet injuries to their legs. Police recovered a foreign-made pistol worth over Rs.8 lakh, a revolver, two magazines, cartridges and their motorcycle. ACP (crime) Naveen Sharma said teams laid a trap after receiving intelligence about the duo approaching via Bilaspur. "When interception was attempted, the duo allegedly tried to escape through a service road towards the Manesar valley," Sharma said.
