Guru Nanak Foundation School holds family welfare meet at Military hospital
Jalandhar, July 21 -- With the objective of promoting health awareness and community well-being, a monthly family welfare meet was organised at the Military Hospital under the aegis of the Family Welfare Organisation (FWO). The programme was presided over by Harleen Kaur, who is the acting chairperson of the Family Welfare Organisation as well as the principal of Guru Nanak Foundation Global School (GNFGS), Jalandhar. Members of the Family Welfare Organisation and other distinguished guests were also present on the occasion.
The event was successfully coordinated under the guidance and support of brig Dharmendra Kumar; commandant (MH) , col Bhupesh registrar (MH) and company commander col Dubey.
A major highlight of the programme was an informative session conducted by captain Divya, who delivered an insightful talk on the prevention of dengue and malaria. The session focused on the causes, symptoms, preventive measures, and the importance of maintaining cleanliness to combat mosquito-borne diseases.
An engaging quiz competition provided participants with an opportunity to speak, interact, and showcase their knowledge and talents. The programme was further enriched by musical performances from the guest ladies, whose melodious singing added charm and warmth to the event.
At the conclusion of the programme, Harleen Kaur encouraged and felicitated the quiz winners as well as the guests who captivated the audience with their singing performances by presenting them with prizes and appreciation awards....
