Amritsar, May 17 -- Gurdaspur sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) Anupreet Kaur Randhawa was on Saturday arrested from her official residence in connection with a seven-year-old embezzlement case involving Rs.1.63 crore meant for land acquisition for National Highway 54 (NH-54), connecting Jammu to Rajasthan via Amritsar and Bathinda. "A police team from Patti raided the Gurdaspur residence of Randhawa, a 2012-batch Punjab Civil Services (PCS) officer, and arrested her," Tarn Taran senior superintendent of police Surendra Lamba said.
