Govt Model High School receives national award
Chandigarh, June 1 -- Government Model High School, Sector 50B,Chandigarh has brought laurels to the city by receiving a National-Level Consolation Prize under the TOFEI (Tobacco-Free Educational Institutions) School Challenge: Towards a Tobacco-Free Generation, an initiative of The department of School Education and Literacy (DoSE&L), the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The national award was received by principal Indu Babbar and ToFIE Nodal. Manisha at the National Level Felicitation Programme held in New Delhi.
The recognition was conferred for the school's commendable efforts in promoting awareness against tobacco use and creating a healthier,safer and tobacco-free better future for students. Under the dynamic leadership of Indu Babbar, the school has consistently undertaken awareness drives, educational activities, and community engagement programmes to encourage students to adopt healthy lifestyles and become responsible citizens.Speaking on the occasion, Indu Babbar appreciated the achievement with collective efforts of the ToFIE team members, teachers, staff, students, parents, SMC ,and the entire school community.
The honour has filled the school fraternity with pride and serve as an inspiration to continue striving for excellence in education to make the vision of "Nasha Mukt Vidyalaya" in reality to achieve the goals of Viksit Bharat....
