India, July 18 -- A salicylic acid face wash sold under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) has become social media's latest skincare discovery, thanks largely to its pocket-friendly price. Available in 1% and 2% formulations at Jan Aushadhi Kendras, the face washes cost Rs.46.88 and Rs.65.63, respectively, significantly lower than branded acne-care alternatives, which typically retail between Rs.150 and Rs.300. Though not a new launch, it went viral online, with users sharing jokes about PM Narendra Modi "dropping his skincare routine".
