GIVA founder: Kriti Sanon Rakhi ad was pulled over staff safety concerns

ast week, actor Kriti Sanon's Raksha Bandhan jewellery ad was pulled after backlash over her revealing outfit and a scene showing her tying a rakhi to a pet dog. The brand's founder has now said (grab left) the campaign was withdrawn after the situation around some stores escalated, raising safety concerns for staff.
GIVA founder Ishendra Agarwal said the campaign's intent remains unchanged and that the brand continues to stand by Sanon. "The decision to take the video down was made swiftly as the situation around some of our stores escalated," he said on Instagram Stories (see inset), adding that the priority was the "physical safety" of employees and stores.
The ad had drawn criticism from BJP MP Kangana Ranaut and others, while Sanon questioned the policing of women's clothing. The brand had earlier apologised, saying the ad had "inadvertently hurt" some sentiments. HTC...
