PURNEA, May 20 -- A 16-year-old schoolgirl was found dead with her throat slit on the first floor of a school campus in Bihar's Supaul district on Tuesday, police said. Top police officers, including superintendent of police (SP), visited the school and forensic experts have collected the evidence and police have started investigating the case with the help of technical evidence. People familiar with the matter said that girl's marriage was to be solemnised in two months while she was in relationship with a boy in the village. According to the police, the victim was a student of class IX at Upgraded High School. The incident happened around 12 midnight on Monday when the school was closed, police added. SHO Rajeshwari police station Yugal Kishore said, "As the school was closed at that time, police have not recorded the statements of school authorities.
