Mohali, July 2 -- As a part of the school's commitment to safety and preparedness under disaster management, a fire drill was conducted on May 22, 2026 at GD Goenka Public School, Mohali. The primary purpose of the drill was to create awareness among students and staff about fire safety measures, ensure readiness in case of emergencies and to train the school community in responding calmly and efficiently during such situations. An alarm was sounded to signal the start of the drill, following which students and staff immediately began evacuating their classrooms in a disciplined manner. The exit plan was executed systematically, with each class moving along the designated evacuation routes under the guidance of teachers. Students assembled at the pre-decided safe zones within the school premises, ensuring no panic or confusion during the process. Teachers ensured that all students were accounted for, while safety marshals monitored the smooth flow of movement and adherence to safety protocols.
