GB Legends walk away with polo title
Chandigarh, April 5 -- Hosts GB Legends Chandigarh delivered a commanding performance to defeat Army Service Corps (ASC) 19-8 and clinch the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Polo Tournament at the Chandigarh Polo Club on Saturday.
Despite ASC's one-goal handicap advantage, GB Legends quickly seized control with Lt Col Vishal Chauhan equalising within seconds. Naveen Singh and Dilpreet Singh Sidhu ensured the hosts edged ahead 4-3 at the end of the first round.
The second round saw GB Legends tighten their grip, with Vishal Singh striking twice to extend the lead to 7-4. The home side continued their dominance in the third, as Vishal Singh and Naveen Singh combined effectively to push the score to 12-6.
In the final round, Naveen Singh scored five goals to seal a comprehensive win. Dignitaries, including IG Naunihal Singh, felicitated the teams at the prize distribution ceremony....
