Chandigarh, Aug. 20 -- The city recorded 0.5 mm of rain on Wednesday morning, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. There are low chances of rain in the coming days, it mentioned. Officials said the monsoon has now shifted southward and heavy rain is unlikely for the next few days. Due to high temperatures and humidity, some localised spells of light to moderate rain may continue. As it got sunny during the day, the maximum temperature remained unchanged at 34degC on both Tuesday and Wednesday. The minimum temperature fell from 23.6degC on Tuesday to 23.2degC on Wednesday.
