Jalandhar, Aug. 8 -- Police have registered an FIR against unknown persons for circulating a fake video of a Khalistani flag being hoisted at a government school. Jalandhar Rural deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Onkar Singh Brar said a video was circulated on social media on August 7 by US-based designated terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, claiming that a Khalistan flag had been hoisted at Government High School in Jalandhar's Kotla Heran. "Acting promptly on the information, the police teams immediately visited the school and conducted a thorough inspection of the entire premises. During the inspection, no such flag was found anywhere on the school campus," DSP Brar said. He added that the claims made in the video were found to be unsubstantiated. "Investigation has been initiated to ascertain the facts and identify the persons involved in spreading misinformation and attempting to create mischief after registration of FIR against relevant sections," he said....
