Film industry pays tribute to Singeetam Srinivasa Rao

eteran filmmaker, screenwriter and composer Singeetam Srinivasa Rao died on Saturday at the age of 94 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, following age-related health issues. Several stars, including Kamal Haasan, SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu took to social media to pay tribute.
Remembering him as a mentor, actor-MP Kamal Haasan wrote in Tamil on X, "I've always admired him. I aspire to live like he did."
Filmmaker SS Rajamouli lauded Rao's legacy, writing, "Long before we had the tools or the budgets, he dared to dream bigger than anyone around him."
Actor-producer Mahesh Babu called him a "giant of Indian cinema": "Singeetam Srinivasa Rao garu was a legend in every sense of the word... A filmmaker of extraordinary imagination, courage and brilliance."
Rao's six-decade career spanned Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam cinema. He began with the 1957 Telugu film Mayabazar as an assistant director, before directing acclaimed films such as Pushpaka Vimanam (1987), Michael Madana Kama Rajan (1990) and Aditya 369 (1991). HTC...
