Ferozepur, Sept. 28 -- Border Security Force (BSF) has apprehended three members of a family and recovered 12.3-kg heroin near the India-Pakistan border in Ferozepur, police said on Saturday. The accused have been identified as Sucha Singh and his two sons, Sajan Singh and Bobby Singh, all residents of Dhani Rajputa in Kilche village, Ferozepur. Sharing details, inspector Gurwinder Kumar of the Sadar Ferozepur police station said the contraband reportedly smuggled into India from Pakistan. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The accused were produced before a court and taken on police remand. Investigators are questioning them to ascertain the alleged cross-border supply chain and establish their backward and forward links, including the identities of the suspected Pakistani suppliers and the intended recipients of the consignment.
