Expert explains why success can make finding a partner more difficult
India, June 21 -- Many of us grew up believing that financial stability and career success would naturally lead to finding a long-term partner. But today's dating landscape tells a different story. Despite thriving careers, many young adults are finding it harder to build lasting relationships. Mishi Mehta, co-founder of a matchmaking agency, explains why.
"While success brings clarity to one's professional life, it can also distort the way people approach the search for a life partner," says Mishi. She notes that highly successful people are used to setting high standards and meeting them. While this discipline works well in a career, but the longer and more rigid the checklist for 'the one', the longer the search.
She also adds that financial security cannot fully bridge the gap created by time, and holding on to expectations that made sense at 32 may keep the search going indefinitely at 52.
So, what truly brings someone to the table? "Most successful relationships have one thing in common: both people were as clear about what they were willing to give as they were about what they hope to find," says Mishi....
