Ex-Haryana minister's son dies by suicide at Ropar farmhouse
Karnal, Sept. 12 -- Son of a former Haryana minister allegedly died by suicide at his farmhouse in Ropar district on Friday, officials said.
Police said the 48-year-old deceased was alone at the farmhouse at the time of the incident and allegedly shot himself with a pistol.
He is survived by his wife and two sons. The body was shifted to a hospital, where an autopsy will be conducted on Saturday, the officials said. The deceased father, who was elected MLA four times, died in 2019 of liver cancer.
The deceased had been arrested by Kurukshetra police in March this year in connection with an attempt-to-murder case.
Police have not disclosed the circumstances surrounding the incident or a possible reason for the suicide....
