Eastwood Int'l School celebrates festive spirit
Ludhiana, April 16 -- Eastwood International School, under the chairmanship of president S Damanjit Singh Mohi and the leadership of principal Amandeep Kaur Bakshi celebrated Baisakhi, Khalsa Sirjana Divas and Ambedkar Jayanti with great enthusiasm and devotion.
A special morning assembly was organised, which started with the singing of 'Thakur Tum Sarnai Aaya Shabad' by the students of the school. Student Manmeet Kaur made people aware of the importance of this holy festival of Baisakhi, Khalsa Sajna Divas and also told about its background and student Mehakpreet Kaur gave information about the life of Dr. Ambedkar. Tarandeep Singh and his colleagues stood in the congregation on the day of Baisakhi and sang the religious song Guru Dasmesh Bole Tegh Phadh Ke.
Parminder Kaur and her colleagues performed a group dance on the festival of Baisakhi in a very beautiful style. Subharit Kaur recited a poem on Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and Snehalpreet Kaur added color to the program by singing poems on the festival of Baisakhi. Principal Bakshi, while congratulating the students, encouraged them to maintain the sanctity of the festival of Baisakhi and Khalsa Sirjana Divas, to adopt the principles of Khalsa Panth, the symbol of Chardi Kala, in their lives and to work hard.
