Chandigarh, July 16 -- DPS Chandigarh enthusiastically observed the CBSE Reading Month 2026 by organising a series of engaging activities from July 9 to July 15, 2026 in the premises. The initiative aims to cultivate a lifelong love for reading, enhance communication skills, stimulate imagination and inspire students to become thoughtful and responsible readers. Class 3 students enthusiastically took part in the Read-a-Thon, showcasing their reading fluency and enthusiasm for books. Classes 4, 5 and 6 expressed their thoughts through Poem Recitation in Hindi or English on the themes Books and Importance of Reading, highlighting the transformative power of reading in everyday life. Classes 7 and 8 demonstrated their artistic talent through a Poster Making Competition on the socially relevant theme "Say No to Drugs," effectively combining creativity with awareness and responsible citizenship.
