Chandigarh, July 19 -- An 18-year-old woman, working as a domestic help in Sector 10, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her employer's residence on Saturday morning. The victim, a native of Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, had started working at the house only about a week ago. While her parents allege she was murdered, police have termed it a case of suicideand initiated inquestproceedings. Her employers are said to have told the police that she had retired to her room on Friday night and not reported for work the next morning. When they checked her room, they found her hanging from the ceiling fan. She was rushed to Government Multi Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, where she was declared brought dead. Her parents cried foul, stating that she had been murdered. She had allegedly rang up her sister around 11.30 pm and told her she was facing some problems. No suicide note was found at the spot. Police said they are waiting for the post-mortem examination reports before deciding on the further course of action....
