Chandigarh, Aug. 4 -- DC Montessori Senior Secondary SMART School, in collaboration with the Meshaan Foundation, organised a session on 'Adolescence, Hygienic Health and Life-style Disorders' for the girls of Classes 6 to 9 with the objective of creating awareness about menstruation, personal hygiene, and breaking the social stigma associated with this natural biological process. The session was presided over by founder and director of Meshaan Foundation, Prabhjot Guron Bajju and the resource person, Dr. Shilpa Chawla, a homoeopathic physician, nutritionist, and adolescent health state trainer, Haryana. The session aimed to equip adolescent girls with accurate knowledge about the biological aspects of menstruation, the importance of maintaining personal hygiene, the safe use and proper disposal of sanitary products, and the role of balanced nutrition in promoting menstrual health.
