DAV tiny tots bring joy to Baisakhi festivities
Chandigarh, April 15 -- The Kindergarten section of DAV Public School, Sector 8C, celebrated the auspicious festival of Baisakhi on April 13, 2026, with great enthusiasm and cultural fervour. The harvest festival, which commemorates the birth of the Khalsa Panth by Guru Gobind Singh, was observed to instill values of gratitude, unity, and hard work among the young learners.
The celebration began with a visit to the Gurdwara Sahib, Sector 8C, Chandigarh, where the children offered prayers, participated in the soulful kirtan, and received the sacred prasad.
Dressed in vibrant traditional attire-girls in salwar kameez and boys in colourful kurtas-the little ones looked delightful and returned filled with joy and devotion.
The festivities continued in the school premises, where the atmosphere came alive with the rhythmic beats of the dhol. The children presented lively folk dance performances, twirling and clapping to popular Punjabi tunes such as "baisakhi di mubarakaan."
