Chandigarh, Sept. 24 -- DAV Model School, Sector 15-A, Chandigarh observed World Ozone Day with a series of awareness-oriented activities under the guidance of principal Anuja Sharma. A special orientation-cum-demonstration session was organised for the students of Classes 6 and 7 to sensitise them to the significance of the ozone layer and its crucial role in protecting life on Earth. Through an interactive session, students learnt about the causes and harmful effects of ozone depletion and discussed practical measures to safeguard this vital atmospheric shield. The celebration was further enriched by a special assembly, poster-making, paragraph-writing and quiz competitions, providing students with creative platforms to express their understanding of environmental concerns.
