Panchkula, Sept. 28 -- Dass & Brown Experiential Learning School, Panchkula, hosted the Haryana leg of EcoPravah 2026 at the Dass Auditorium on September 23, bringing together young climate innovators, experts, entrepreneurs and educators to promote climate awareness, innovation and action. SACC/EcoPravah served as the event partner. The event was attended by Ghanshyam Shukla, principal chief conservator of forests, Haryana forest department, as the chief guest. Anju Mehta, principal, Dass & Brown Experiential Learning School, delivered the welcome address, followed by a keynote by Gopan Gopalakrishnan, deputy chief executive officer (CEO), DCM Group of Schools, on the relevance of entrepreneurship for K-12. He highlighted how startups and entrepreneurship can contribute to environmental solutions and help protect nature. Ghanshyam Shukla spoke about carbon gases, their environmental impact and the need to maintain a balance between carbon emissions and tree cover. He emphasised sustained efforts to plant and nurture trees every year to help offset carbon emissions and strengthen environmental resilience. The programme also featured sessions by Money Khanna, Punjab energy development agency (PEDA); Vineet Khuranna, CEO, SAAC and co-organiser, EcoPravah; and Nitika Khuranna, chief investment and operations, Chandigarh angels network (CAN), along with Manohar Lal, entrepreneurship promotion and incubation council (EPIC) Ambala, as a panellist. The highlight was the young climatisers segment, where students from across India presented innovative solutions including AirCare, IRAEN, River Guard, ROOTIX, ECO COOL, Aqua Guard AI and FARM SENSE.
