Chandigarh, Aug. 7 -- The Chandigarh Power Distribution Limited (CPDL) has upgraded power infrastructure in Chandigarh's Sector 31C by installing a new 1,000 kilovolt-ampere (kVA) distribution transformer, replacing an ageing and overloaded 500 kVA unit to improve supply reliability. The augmentation, carried out at the indoor substation at an approximate cost of Rs.27 lakh, is expected to ease load pressure and reduce power disruptions in the area.
