Jalandhar, Sept. 8 -- Congress MLAs and MPs on Monday staged a protest in Jalandhar over restoration of an FIR registered against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi by Nainital Police. MP from Gurdaspur Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa along with Jalandhar MP Charanjit Singh Channi demanded immediate cancellation of the FIR against Gandhi, who was booked over his statements regarding the "shuddhikaran yajna" conducted at the Haldwani venue by a group of a particular community following the visit of congress' national president Mallikarjun Kharge.
