Chandigarh, Aug. 6 -- Congress MLAs on Wednesday staged a walkout from the Punjab assembly, alleging "misbehaviour" by the vidhan sabha watch and ward staff and against the rejection of their adjournment motion. As soon as the question hour began, leader of Opposition (LoP) Partap Singh Bajwa alleged that the watch and ward staff had misbehaved with the Congress members while they were entering the House carrying placards. Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan asked the LoP to give his complaint in writing and assured to get the matter inquired. However, the Congress members were not satisfied and entered the well of the House, raising slogans. Congress MLA Sukhwinder Singh Kotli alleged that they were not allowed to bring placards in the House and were pushed by the security staff. Cabinet minister Aman Arora said that if there was misbehaviour with any member, the matter should be investigated. Bajwa then sought the Speaker's response on the adjournment motion submitted by him and several other Congress legislators on the state's law and order.
