Cong meetings expose internal divisions: AAP
Chandigarh, July 12 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday took a swipe at the Congress over its recent organisational meetings, alleging that the party's week-long "political drama" ended without any decision and exposed its internal divisions.
In a video statement, AAP Punjab media in-charge Baltej Pannu said the Congress was free to manage its internal affairs as it wished, but claimed that the past several days had been dominated by speculation over meetings and leadership issues.
Pannu alleged that despite several rounds of discussions and high-level meetings, the Congress leadership failed to arrive at any meaningful conclusion, reflecting deep differences within the party.
Taking a dig at the Congress, BJP leader Sunil Jakhar said the party is only worried about the ranks, not about actual issues of the state.
Addressing reporters, Jakhar said: "If the resentment is related to issues concerning Punjab, then they should direct it at Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann. The Congress is interested only in 'kusri' (chair); it has no concern for the welfare of Punjab." Jakhar claimed that Randhawa was voicing what was already being said among people, despite having previously backed the very leadership he was now criticising....
