Chandigarh, Aug. 15 -- Inspector Bharat Singh of the Chandigarh Police is set to receive the President's police medal for meritorious service on Independence Day on Saturday. Singh joined the police force as a constable on May 15, 1987. He is currently posted as In-charge of the Police Establishment Board (PEB) branch at police headquarters, Sector 9. UT administrator Gulab Chand Kataria also approved the administrator's police medal for distinguished or meritorious service for 22 Chandigarh Police officials. This includes four officials including sub-inspector Kavita, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Kanwal Pal, ASI Manjit Kaur and ASI Kamlesh Kaur, all for distinguished service while 18 other cops have also been awarded for meritoriousservice....
