City-based gallery springs up a surprise this season
India, March 7 -- As spring arrives with its promise of renewal and colour, Chandigarh's art landscape is also preparing for a fresh beginning.
Marking the season of bloom, AIM Gallery is opening a new dedicated art space in Sector 21 alongside a new exhibition titled 'Bahar', which opens on March 7. Founded by Gurpreet Kaur and Munish Jauhar, AIM Gallery conceived the new venue as a permanent space for its artistic initiatives.
"It was time to have a dedicated space for all our artistic endeavors, one that would serve as AIM's official and ongoing exhibition space. The new venue is envisioned as a dedicated cultural hub for curated exhibitions, art-based sessions and workshops. Designed as more than just a display space, it is a thoroughly prepared environment where art and community engagement come together," say the founders.
The exhibition, running from March 7 to March 15, would bring together celebrated masters and emerging voices from across India, creating a dialogue between generations, artistic practices and perspectives.
Among the artists featured are Vikash Kalra, Anjaneyulu G, Viren Tanwar, Pradiptaa Chakraborty, Pardeep Singh, Paribartana Mohanty, Datta Bansode, Gurmeet Marwah, Babu Xavier and Throngkiuba Yimchungru.
The exhibition also includes works by renowned senior masters such as M F Husain, SH Raza, Thota Vaikuntam, Jogen Chowdhury, Prokash Karmakar, Suhas Roy and Rabin Mondal.htc...
