Channi leads Congress protest in Faridkot
Bathinda, July 30 -- Lok Sabha member from Jalandhar and former chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Wednesday led a Congress protest in Faridkot, alleging irregularities in the recently held recruitment test for the post of pharmacy officers.
Addressing a protest rally outside the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), the institute that conducted the test on behalf of the Punjab health department on July 19, Channi alleged that in the last four-and-a-half years of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, several examinations had been leaked due to political corruption.
Channi said the pharmacy officers' examination row was another example of "rampant irregularities and favouritism prevalent under the current political regime", alleging that the bureaucracy was also hand in glove.
He alleged that during the AAP regime, candidates from Haryana had been selected for government jobs and Punjabi youth had been deprived of employment.HTC...
