Channi camp presses for 'uncompromised' leader; we're united: Baghel
Chandigarh, July 12 -- The leadership tussle in the Punjab Congress intensified on Saturday, with the Charanjit Singh Channi camp reiterating its opposition to Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and demanding a change in the state leadership during a key meeting with AICC general secretary in-charge of Punjab, Bhupesh Baghel.
The 80-minute meeting, attended by more than 90 leaders, including sitting and former MLAs and MPs, was held at party leader Rana Gurjeet Singh's residence in Chandigarh. Channi camp reportedly told Baghel that they want a leader who is not "compromised".
"I spoke to all my colleagues and they shared their views with me. No one has any objection to the decision of the party high command; they are all with the high command. Everyone stands united," Baghel said. P2...
