C.I.D. raids across J'khand over JPSC irregularities
RANCHI, Aug. 4 -- The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Jharkhand Police on Monday conducted simultaneous raids at 18 locations as part of its probe into alleged irregularities in various competitive examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), officials aware of the matter said.
During the raids - conducted in various districts including Ranchi, Palamu, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, and Dhanbad - the investigation team seized a large quantity of crucial documents and electronic devices. The investigation has also revealed that the accused, Abhay Tiwari, participated in numerous competitive examinations between 2013 and 2018. In a parallel development, former JPSC chairman and state chief secretary L Khiangte was interrogated for the fourth day on Monday at CID headquarters. "Questioning continued for seven hours today.
