BVP hosts CBSE mathematics capacity building workshop
Panchkula, Aug. 25 -- Bhavan Vidyalaya organised a two-day CBSE capacity building workshop on mathematics (Secondary) on August 23 and 24. The workshop aimed to equip educators with innovative and effective strategies for teaching mathematics at the secondary level, making the subject more engaging, experiential and learner-centric.
The workshop commenced with theceremonial lighting of the lampby the school principal, Gulshan Kaur, along with CBSE resource persons Suresh Aggarwal and Aarti Verma. Suresh Aggarwal has extensive experience in the field of education as a former principal, author, mental maths expert, international master trainer, and CBSE resource person. Aarti Verma is an experienced educator, happiness coach, and NLP practitioner. She has been a CBSE resource person since June 2025. During the two-day workshop, the participants from the Tri-city explored a range of innovative pedagogical strategies to make mathematics classrooms more interactive and meaningful.
The sessions also focused on competency-based learning, experiential learning, activity- based pedagogy and the integration of technology in education of mathematics. Teachers participated in collaborative tasks, mathematical games, problem-solving activities and subject-specific discussions.
Emphasis was also laid on designing learner-centred lesson plans and assessment strategies in alignment with the objectives of NEP 2020 and the CBSE competency-based eduction framework.
The second day of the workshop provided opportunities for teachers to apply the strategies explored during the sessions. The two-day programme concluded on a positive and enriching note, with the participating educators expressing their appreciation....
