Brace for blistering June
Chandigarh, June 2 -- While May bid farewell to the city on a pleasant note, June is likely to put residents through blistering conditions, India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials said.

This is due to the El Nino brewing in the Pacific Ocean, which leads to increased rainfall and flooding in parts of South America, East Africa, and southern United States, while causing drought-like conditions in parts of South Asia, eastern and northern Australia, Indonesia, southern Africa due to suppressed monsoon activity.
Residents can, however, expect the next few days to be easy breezy as a fresh western disturbance is likely to bring rains to the city on Wednesday and Thursday.
The system, however, won't be as strong as what was seen towards the end of Maywhen mercury had plunged to 25.3degC.
Over the next three days, the maximum temperature islikely to hover between 37degC and 38degC while the minimum will remain between 23degC and 25degC....
