Panchkula, Sept. 6 -- Two motorcycles were impounded and challans issued for various traffic violations, Panchkula police said on Saturday. In one case, a motorcycle fitted with a pressure horn and bearing no registration plate was impounded after its rider was found riding without a helmet. A Rs.33,000 challan was issued. The motorcycle was stopped during a checking drive conducted by assistant sub-inspector Manoj. In another incident, during late-night vehicle checking near Harihar Temple in Sector 12-A, a police team stopped a motorcycle carrying three youths. During verification, the police found that all three were underage. None of them was wearing a helmet, and they also failed to produce the required vehicle documents. The police imposed a penalty of Rs.18,000 and impounded the motorcycle, which was taken to Sector 14 police station....
